About Me and my Bubbles
Hi! My name is Stephen Duncan (A.K.A. The BubbleMan) and I welcome you to my official website! I am a performance artist and bubble enthusiast who works as a proprietor in the great city of New York. I first became acquainted with my craft over a decade ago, but I have had a deep-seated passion for bubbles since the age of 7. I was inspired by other performers around the country and the world who have made a living pursuing their passion for this medium. I was reintroduced to bubbles in the summer of '07 when I came across a bubble toy vendor in lower Manhattan. My love for bubbles was reinvigorated shortly after that encounter. Since then, I have continued to put on weekly performances in parks and public squares both in and outside the greater New York area.
Weekend Shows in the Park
Making huge, free-floating soap bubbles is an awesome activity, but the one thing that makes it worthwhile is interacting with the public. Putting on bubble shows in the park has not only allowed me to earn a modest income, it has helped to bolster my confidence and networking skills. I have also had the privilege of sharing my craft with a whole generation of people, both young and old from all nations, cultures and walks of life. As a way of marketing my business, I would put on regular shows in Central Park near the Bethesda Terrace, which I performed at for several years. I also put on performances downtown in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village as well as parts of Brooklyn. I build all of the bubble wands and make all of the solution that I use in my shows as well. I also have an online store where I sell my wands to customers across the country and worldwide. So come and enjoy a picturesque show of free floating bubbles or grab a wand and join me! It's an experience you'll never forget!
